Please read Colossians 1:9-13 Prayer
9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, 10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, 12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. 13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Did you know you can pray Scripture? There are so many already provided for you prayers to pray in Scripture but even if it’s not specifically a prayer you can still pray it. These four verses are a prayer. This is how I would pray it and you can too.
Please God keep filling me with the knowledge of Your Will through all the wisdom and understanding the Spirit gives, so that I may live my life worthy of You, Lord and please You in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to Your Glorious might so that I might have great endurance and patience, and always give Thanks to the Father who has qualified me to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the Kingdom of Light.
You can pray it for others too, put names in place of the pronouns. It’s not difficult.
I praise You and Thank You, Lord, for rescuing me from the dominion of darkness and bringing me into the kingdom of Your Son whom You love. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
