This is a trip through a few wonderful verses Jesus lead me to and I for one am looking forward to what He has for me to do with them today.
So let’s pray:
Lord Jesus, I know whatever you have for me in these verses is going to be wonderful. So what I’m asking is, help me see. Show me what You want me to see and tell me what you want me to write. It’s all from You, for You and through You. Thank You, Jesus. In your name, I pray. Amen.
Ephesians 2:6-7
And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
Sit with that for a minute…
Yes, we are already sitting up there, with Christ in the heavenly realms so that while we are still on Earth God can positively drown us in the riches of his grace which he expresses in his kindness to us in Christ.
There were many moments in my past where I have felt more there than here and one day He proved it to me. I saw it. He came to show me that I was at His feet and to tell me to keep praying, that He was listening. The encouragement was incredible. That is the one and only time I’ve seen visibly. It’s not the usual way I perceive Him. But He knew that day I needed it and He provided it. He is so very with us at all times.
Colossians 3:1-2
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things
Matthew 6:21
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Set your hearts and minds on Jesus. It’s a focus thing. He is the treasure worth everything.
Colossians 2:2-3
My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ.
Be encouraged in heart
Be united in love
Possess the full riches of complete understanding
In order that you may know Christ
In whom are hidden all the treasures
of wisdom and knowledge.
That is an amazing goal. Only God can do that. Encouraged in heart… read the Scripture. Encouragement is available. Just read the Scriptures.
2 Corinthians 4:6-7
For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.
His light shines in our hearts because His Spirit is in our hearts because God’s glory which is also Christ’s glory shines brighter than any star and we can know it and will one day reflect it even more so than we do today.
Christ Jesus is the Treasure. See Him that way, focus on Him, then your heart will be with Him as well.
So give it all to Him. Including every recess and every corner and every neglected part of your heart and mind to Him.
Currently we are in bodies that are like jars of clay, delicate and unable to hold it, unable to handle more, all to show that this all-surpassing power, yes, incomparable power, is from God and not from us.
Thank You, Jesus. These are fantastically wonderful verses. You are so beautiful. Amen.
