This is an exhortation to the faithful. Particularly. Those longing for His Justice; those under His Salvation. It’s another place where the future is told about. Let’s look. But first, let’s pray:
Lord Jesus, thank You for the way Your word is consistent. Thank You for reminders all over it that this world will end one day and the renewal will come. Lord, I want to praise You in all I do. And I ask that You lead us through this short study of this quite a bit longer chapter. Thank You, Lord.
Isaiah 51:4-6 – Amplified Bible
Exhortation
4 “Listen carefully to Me [says the Lord], O My people,
And hear Me, O My nation;
For a [divine] law will go forth from Me,
And I will quickly establish My justice as a light to the peoples.
5 “My righteousness (justice) is near, My salvation has gone forth,
And My arms will judge the peoples;
The islands and coastlands will wait for Me,
And they will wait with hope and confident expectation for My arm.
6 “Lift up your eyes to the heavens,
Then look to the earth beneath;
For the heavens will be torn to pieces and vanish like smoke,
And the earth will wear out like a garment
And its inhabitants will die in like manner.
But My salvation will be forever,
And My righteousness (justice) [and faithfully fulfilled promise] will not be broken.
Listen. Believe. Wait with hope and confident expectation. All you see will change one day, be renewed one day, for God’s salvation will be forever. Saved forever. And His righteous justice and promises will not be broken. He is faithful. He will do it. There is no reason to fear. If you are saved now, you will be saved, you are saved forever. Praise Jesus!
