Today it’s a few short verse on Treasure. On what you treasure and whom you should. So let’s pray: Lord Jesus, thank You for these words. Thank You for assuring us that our trust and our treasure are best found in You. Thank You, Lord. Amen.
Matthew 19:22-24 – Amplified Bible
Treasure
22 But when the young man heard this, he left grieving and distressed, for he owned much property and had many possessions [which he treasured more than his relationship with God].
23 Jesus said to His disciples, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, it is difficult for a rich man [who clings to possessions and status as security] to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man [who places his faith in wealth and status] to enter the kingdom of God.”
What you treasure matters a great deal to God. Perhaps better said, Whom you treasure, matters so much your life depends on it.
Read these:
[which he treasured more than his relationship with God]
[who clings to possessions and status as security]
[who places his faith in wealth and status]
Not good.
“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, it is difficult for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.”
Your faith is to be in Jesus. Your treasure is to be Him. In Him we are favored, safe, and very wealthy. So Trust Him. There is no other place to place your life than in His hands.
I choose to believe. I choose to Trust. I choose to praise You, Lord Jesus. And You are welcome in my life at all times. May we all choose the Way, the Truth and the Life.
