Desire for Goodness – 2 Thessalonians 1 – Quick Study

Your desire for goodness and your works of faith mean everything to Him who deserves to be glorified. 

2 Thessalonians 1:11-12 – Amplified Bible

Please read 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12
¹¹ With this in view, we constantly pray for you, that our God will count you worthy of your calling [to faith] and with [His] power fulfill every desire for goodness, and complete [your] every work of faith, ¹² so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you [by what you do], and you in Him, according to the [precious] grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

we constantly pray for you…
that our God will count you worthy of your calling [to faith] and with [His] power
fulfill every desire for goodness,
and complete [your] every work of faith
so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you [by what you do]
and you in Him
according to the [precious] grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Wow. Our every desire for goodness and our every work of faith glorifies Him. Because it’s what we do that glorifies Him. And His response will be to glorify us because we’re in Him and can’t help but bask in His glory. 

What an awesome God we have.
