It’s time for 1 Timothy 6, the final chapter in Paul’s first letter to Timothy. The first nearly two verses are still talking about the things chapter 5 was talking about. I’m glad you’re here. Come, let’s study.
First, we’ll pray:
Lord Jesus, we long to bring You honor and glory in our lives. Lead us as we study chapter six and reveal everything you want us to see. In Your holy name, I pray. Amen.
I’m in the NIV so if you don’t have one, go here. Grab your journal and something to write with. Here we go.

Final Charge to Timothy
But you __________ of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your confession in the presence of many witnesses. Yes, write out verses 11-12 but first personalize it with your name, or if you prefer start with Pursue but it’s more powerful if you write out what to flee from first. Then with a flourish write “in the sight of God” because everything is in His sight.
God, the ____________ and ____________ Ruler, the _______ of kings and __________ of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in ___________________ light, whom no one has seen or can _________. To him be ________ and _______ forever. Amen.
Read 1 Timothy 6:17-18
Take hold of the life that is truly life.

Guard what has been ___________________________. Hold onto your faith. Depend on God and live the true life of faith.
Grace be with you all.
Grace, grace, God’s grace. All of our earthly lives are spent in God’s grace. You can believe it. Depend on it. Breathe it in, breathe out praise. Two songs that those words bring to mind.
I’ll be back next week with 2 Timothy 1. I’m counting on it.
Hang onto your faith. Grow your faith. Depend on God in every moment. He is always with you.
