Hooray it’s Tuesday! Today we walk through John 9 and if you’ll notice it the way I did, it’s basically one story, one person Jesus heals. Really quite wonderful. It is a shorter than the last two chapters. Let’s see what He will add to this one. I’m glad you’re here to join me.
Let’s Pray:
Lord Jesus, today we’re just looking at one chapter, one story, a wonderful story and it’s full of You, so Lord, I need You to show us what we all need to see. Reveal what You want me to share. I love you. It’s all for you, through you, by you and for your glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
John Chapter 9, I’m in the NIV, get yours or go here and grab something to write with and something to write on just in case, you never know what is going to come up in this. I don’t even know most of the time.

Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind
Jesus said “this happened ______”
The works of God, are they displayed in you too?
Read John 9:4-5
Who does Jesus say He is in verse 5?
Read John 9:4-5
Every single part of Jesus, his skin, his bones, his blood, his saliva, his voice, his heart, his compassion, his personality is all full of light and healing and precious. What did He use to heal this man’s sight?
Do you think His word of being the Light of the World had any connection to this story of giving this man sight?
Read John 9:8-12
“The man they call Jesus…told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then__________”
Wonton disbelief. That’s what I keep thinking with these people. Why couldn’t they respond with praise rather than “Where is he?” And now look…

The Pharisees Investigate the Healing
So much fear, so much disbelief. So much blindness among the authorities. It’s just so sad. The healed blind man is more Godly than they are. I think it’s just so sad that they ‘know God spoke to Moses, but as for this fellow, we don’t even know where he comes from.’ Especially since God is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Spiritual Blindness
Jesus found him again. He knows where you are too. “Do you believe?”
Read John 9:39-41
Earlier Jesus said that he was not here to judge, but if He did it would be accurate. Apparently it’s time now for Him to judge.
It’s a foreshadowing truth Jesus is telling them. If they don’t start believing they will not be forgiven. Faith is what He’s looking for. Even now He’s looking for it. It’s as if the light he brought was visible to those with faith and not to those who didn’t.
It’s still visible. You can see it in the word, with what Paul called ‘the eyes of our heart’. Because He lives within us His light is within us too. Praise Him.
Live your belief, will He will find you faithful?
