To become deeply rooted in God is the best way to live out this life. Because only faith pleases Him and that is the goal of a life of faith. To please Him in all we do.
Colossians 2:6-7 – Amplified Bible
6 Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in [union with] Him [reflecting His character in the things you do and say—living lives that lead others away from sin], 7 having been deeply rooted [in Him] and now being continually built up in Him and [becoming increasingly more] established [e]in your faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing in it with gratitude.
Just like trees are rooted in the ground, we need to be rooted in Jesus. Why? Well, without established faith, standing firm is unlikely. Without absolute confidence walking out life His way is very difficult. Why make life any more difficult? If you’re not sufficiently deeply rooted, keep studying. If you are rooted and established, keep studying. Either way, we need Jesus.
