45 Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the One Moses in the Law and also the Prophets wrote about—Jesus from Nazareth, the son of Joseph [according to public record].”
49 Nathanael answered, “Rabbi (Teacher), You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel.”
Footnotes
[p] John 1:41 -“We have found the [p]Messiah”- The words “Messiah” and “Christ” are not personal names, but titles derived respectively from Hebrew and Greek verbs meaning “to anoint.”
Fast faith, these four disciples all came to faith fast, easy, the way it should be. For He is all of those things. Messiah, the One written about in the Law and the Prophets, the Son of God and the King of Israel, well, the King of all Kings, the Only King in all the world worth following.
