A brand new Quick Study! Whoo Hoo! This time, a gospel reading. What better way to begin than with Immanuel? Oh Jesus, yes.
Let’s pray:
Lord, thank You for coming. Thank you for the many, many promises and the fulfillment of Your coming. Oh Lord. Thank You so much.
Please read Matthew 1:23-24
The Promised One – Immanuel
23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child and give birth to a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel”—which, when translated, means, “God with us.” 24 Then Joseph awoke from his sleep and did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him, and he took Mary [to his home] as his wife, 25 but he kept her a virgin until she had given birth to a Son [her firstborn child]; and he named Him Jesus (The Lord is salvation).
Emmanuel, Emmanuel,
His name is called Emmanuel.
God with us, revealed in us,
His name is called Emmanuel.
Language differences, is why Immanuel and Emmanuel are spelled differently. Don’t let that bother you. It’s all accurate.
The best gift ever is Him. Bless His Holy Name. The Lord is Salvation.
The Lord, King Jesus, is with us.
