Welcome! Today, Jesus. The first in Isaiah prophecy of His coming. Not the return, the first one. But oh is it ever confirmed by His first coming. And this particular scripture is quite a famous one.
Let’s pray:
Thank You, Father, for providing prophecy of Your Son’s coming. For every word, thank You coming true too. Thank You for sending us Truth and our Savior. For this time to study, thank You . Please lead. In Jesus’ Name I pray.
Isaiah 42:1-8 – Amplified Bible
Prophecy
Please read Isaiah 42:1-4
1 “Behold, My [a]Servant, whom I [b]uphold;
My Chosen One in whom My soul delights.
I have put My Spirit upon Him;
He will bring forth justice to the nations.
2“He will not call out or shout aloud,
Nor make His voice heard in the street.
3 “A broken reed He will not break [off]
And a dimly burning wick He will not extinguish [He will not harm those who are weak and suffering];
He will faithfully bring forth justice.
4 “He will not be disheartened or crushed [in spirit];
[He will persevere] until He has established justice on the earth;
And the coastlands will wait expectantly for His law.”
Our Messiah is beyond delightful, beyond beautiful, beyond all we could ever hope for. This justice of which God speaks is probably the chance to be saved if you believe. Forgiven if you just believe in this Messiah He sent.
Please read Isaiah 42:5
5 This is what God the Lord says,
He who created the heavens and stretched them out,
Who spread out the earth and its produce,
Who gives breath to the people on it
And spirit to those who walk on it,
This God who made all this, and us, and gives us breath and spirit too.
The God who is telling us that the Messiah will come.
This God is reliable, faithful, truthful, everything you might want to have in a creator and sustainer.
Please read Isaiah 42:6-7
6 “I am the Lord, I have called You (the Messiah) in righteousness [for a righteous purpose],
I will also take You by the hand and keep watch over You,
And I will appoint You as a covenant to the people [Israel],
As a light to the nations (Gentiles),
7 To open the eyes of the blind,
To bring out prisoners from the dungeon
And those who sit in darkness from the prison.
He is the covenant. That’s why he made the new one. Jesus is the Light. He is Freedom. Jesus is Sight. He is Life itself. You can count on Him. Grow your faith.
