Welcome to afaithtalk.com. I’m so glad you’re here.
Today, we’re going to do a short study on a few verses, because sometimes it takes a slow walk through a verse or a few verses to glean all the wonder contained within it.
First let’s pray:
Dear Lord Jesus, I know You showed me this to hand me the next thing to write about. So Lord, help me write about it. I have no words, reset my focus. Reset my thinking, Lord so that I can hear you. Thank You, Lord. Amen.
Hebrews 6:10 NIV
10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
God will not forget all you do to love others.
Hebrews 6:11 NIV
11 We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized.
Keep loving. Keep treating others better than yourself. Keep loving all the way to the end ‘so that what you hope for may be fully realized.’
I think this is an eternal hope not a life hope. Don’t expect others to love you for you loving them. Just love them because you love God. What he has for us will one day be ‘fully realized,’ as in the way it will be.
Hebrews 6:12 NIV
12 We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
‘imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.’
A great inheritance awaits the faith-filled. You can read all about it in 1 Peter 1 which we just studied on Tuesday on afaithtalk.com. It’s there if you haven’t seen it yet.
In the mean time, keep the faith, love the saints, wait expectantly, the end is coming and it’s going to be better than anything we can imagine.
If ever there was a time for encouragement, these days are those. A Mighty Fortress Is Our God is a song we’re going to be singing in church on Sunday. This is from verse 3.
“And though this world, with devils filled,
should threaten to undo us,
we will not fear,
for God hath willed his truth to triumph through us.”
Do not fear, for God hath willed His Truth to triumph through us. Keep loving, keep working and living by faith. Through faith in Jesus we are more than over-comers. We will triumph because He will triumph.
Praise His Holy Name.
Thank You, Lord Jesus.
