Two verses to expand today. Hope you see it too.
Matthew 8:16-17
16 When evening came, they brought to Him many who were under the power of demons; and He cast out the evil spirits with a word, and restored to health all who were sick [exhibiting His authority as Messiah], 17 so that He fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: “He Himself took our infirmities [upon Himself] and carried away our diseases.”*
Four phrases…
When evening came…
Two thoughts… His words: John 11:9 Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours [of light] in the day? Anyone who walks in the daytime does not stumble, because he sees [by] the light of this world. 10 But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles, because there is no light in him.” and His always availableness to us now.

He cast out…
evil spirits and poor health will be cast out, but you? He will never cast you away. “All that My Father gives Me will come to Me; and the one who comes to Me I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, never reject anyone who follows Me].” John 6:37
His Authority…
Ephesians 1:22 And He [God]put all things [in every realm] in subjection under Christ’s feet, and appointed Him as [supreme and authoritative] head over all things in the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills and completes all things in all [believers].
All powerful. God Himself. Messiah. Savior.
Prophecy fulfilled…
Centuries before His incarnation, Isaiah told us what He would do and here in Matthew 8, He’s doing it, ‘He fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah.’
No-one else has fulfilled as many prophecies as Jesus has, and we can count on Him as God as friend, as brother, as Savior, to fulfill all the others too.
Blessed be His Name.
*[Isaiah 53:4]
