Rejoice! You made it to the very last part of the Philippians study! Read on and complete it, for the next one is coming soon.
Philippians 4:4-5 – Amplified Bible
4 Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, take pleasure in Him]; again I will say, rejoice! 5 Let your gentle spirit [your graciousness, unselfishness, mercy, tolerance, and patience] be known to all people. The Lord is near.
Why should you rejoice? Well, He’s worth it. It doesn’t matter how you feel, Rejoice in Him to Him. Thank You, Jesus, for waking me today. Thank You, Jesus for the calendar reaching fall. Oh how I love fall. True, it’s not yet cooler here, but it will be. And as I write this we are between the Festival of Trumpets which is 100 trumpets blown to announce His arrival and the Festival of Tabernacles which is the final real dwelling with Him. And I can hardly wait for the second coming and what that means for all of us with faith. So while you live this life, rejoice.
The Holy Spirit can make you gentle, gracious, unselfish, merciful, tolerant, and patient. So if you find yourself without, what you need is more Spirit, more Jesus, pray. You can get as much of Him as you have faith to receive. So grow your faith.
Whatever you do, you need to know, The Lord is near. Always. Closer than close, closer than your next breath. As if exhaling is praying, as He knows every breath you take and every time you act the way you act and everything you do. So please remember, the Lord is near.
