A surprise to find this in this chapter. I can’t remember ever having read it before. The amazing thing about Bible Study is that that happens regularly. Even if you’ve studied a book multiple times. Enjoy!
Romans 15:20 – Amplified Bible
20Accordingly I set a goal to preach the gospel, not where Christ’s name was already known, so that I would not build on another man’s foundation; 21but [instead I would act on this goal] as it is written [in Scripture],
“They who had no news of Him shall see,
And they who have not heard [of Him] shall understand.”
Goal setting. Do you set goals? I set five this year. This one on Romans is on target, the others, only close. This is the one that is required work each week. Two others are similarly insistent in that kind of schedule.
Here’s my list:
My faith.
My family.
My home.
My homeschool leadership.
My friendships.
Yes, they’re all broken down from there.
What would your list be? Have you broken them down into action steps? I find that I need to see them and schedule them fairly often to keep at them. So if you see my planner all the stuff I do on my faith and for my church is listed each week as are our meals most weeks. It’s far easier for me to get meals ready when there is a plan. Do you find something easier when you have a plan? Might not be food, but something else?
