Giving thanks is something we need to do every day, multiple times. Giving thanks for everything is indeed the point.
John 6:11-12 – Amplified Bible
11 Then Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks, He distributed them to those who were seated; the same also with the fish, as much as they wanted. 12 When they had eaten enough, He said to His disciples, “Gather up the leftover pieces so that nothing will be lost.”
All should be given thanks for because this is a lesson, not just a story. But as the story, look at it, He gave thanks and then gave them as much as they wanted. And made sure to gather the leftovers so nothing will be lost.
