Happy World Communion Sunday! Today, October 4th, 2020! The very first Sunday in October is always designated World Communion Sunday.
The point of this designation is to promote unity among the Christian churches and celebrate the eucharist (the Lord’s supper), commonly known as communion.
Jesus in John 17:23
I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
Love God, Love People by Danny Gokey.
Ephesians 4:1-3
As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
Psalm 133:1
How good and pleasant it is
when God’s people live together in unity!
1 Corinthians 11:23-25
For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
